Kanye West has made it clear -- he don't want his MTV. Or does he?

Blaming the music channel for Britney Spears' public meltdown, West put the network on blast, saying, "They exploited her, they played me and I really don't mess with MTV." West was upset because he says he wanted to perform his new single, "Stronger," on the show's main stage, but was relegated to a "suite" performance by the network, even though Justin Timberlake, who also performed in a suite on Sunday's show, ended up "on the big stage" to close the broadcast. Hold up, hater!


A source connected to the awards show tells TMZ that Kanye was offered the main stage, but opted for the suite, claiming he wanted to "feel the excitement and energy" of a smaller venue, rather than people just sitting there at tables. In addition, Kanye's "Stronger" performance was pre-taped Friday night -- to give it a "night" look -- as the actual show went live Sunday night at 6:00 PM, while there was still daylight in Vegas. Our sources say Kanye "loved" his act and expressed that to the MTV execs who were all there. We ain't sayin' he's a golddigger...

For their part, MTV says it "has a long and collaborative relationship with Kanye and we hope and look forward to continuing that meaningful relationship."

3. First George Bush doesnt care about Black People. Now West wants everyone to think MTV doesnt care about Black People. Seems to me MTV has done more to market, exhibit, and show more Black performers than all the minstrel shows before it combined.

West should be careful going forward of who he shoots next as the next shot just might be to his own foot.

His act and shtick is getting boring. Go back to your Porn collection and enjoy yourself West instead of bashing everyone and everything that is in your perceived way.

5. Wasn't it Kanye West who had an accident a few years back where they wired his mouth shut? Well, I think somebody needs to go back and do that again. I am so tired of his egotistical tantrums. I could actually like the guy if he'd just his music speak for itself, instead of getting all "pissed off" over not winning. He's a whiner not a winner!

First the VMA's this year were horrible second why is it that every time a Black man takes a stand against something he thinks is wrong he is called a whiner or the favorite "reverse racist" I think what he said was true MTV expoited Britney Spears to make the show more popular. Kanye has the #1 album in the country so he should have headlined. Third what part of hi comments about Katrina were stupid? maybe they were uncalled for at that moment but he made a point while he had a national podium. Was what he said untrue? show any proof to the contrary

13. He is the biggest sore loser ever .In 2004, he walked out of the American Music Awards, claiming he was "robbed" in the Best New Artist category. The following year, he promised hellfire and brimstone if his Late Registration album didn't take home the Grammy for Album of the Year. He was quoted, "If I Don't Win Album Of The Year I'm Gonna Have A Problem" And, perhaps most famously of all, he stormed the stage at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards after losing the award for Video of the Year! I mean who does this?
