At the end of the comment guess what race i am. i don't care what happened and what was said because none of us was there kanye coyuld have been doing a scam for record sales or to have the next opening for next year vma's. and mtv could have changed their story just so they won't seem as bad to the public . but i do know fa sho that usuall the most hottest artist that is out or coming out with a hit album or single usually open up. i like kanye west because he's not just about killing,selling and dealing dope. but he has a swagga that can be played in any setting whether it be a chill setting, club, in the car or house.and the guy speaks the truth about life he never try to be nothing that he ain't but a real rapper real because he speak about everyday life. i also liked britanny not only because she is from my home state louisiana but because she was unique and was a hard worker at what she did and was for the young gurls that looked up to her. but for all those who bash kanye because he speaks his mind and are advocates for us who are not heard just walk amile or even a couple of steps in the blacks people shoes who get persecuted and discriminated against for just being what they had no choice to be. but deal with it everyday. for the katrina hurricane go kanyeezie because im from the n.o and lost close friends lucky no family and watching my people suffer but you know what the way mother nature is going all yall who talk against kanye talking against the president will have your chance to see how it feel .by now you should know what skin color i am one love stop racism

153. Kanye is a whiner though he did make a point about Britney. True, it was ultimately her choice but it wouldn't surprise me if MTV DID want her to perform for ratings.

As for being racist? I didn't get that tone at all. I thought he was being Kanye, whining like a little 10 year old when he doesn't get his way! I also think he has poor judgement when he says things such as the Bush comment a few years ago. I actually agreed with him BUT that fundraiser for the Katrina victims was not the place for those comments!

155. It's funny...somebody was complaining about no whites ever winning BET Awards, well, that's because whites win award after award on every award show that they have exclusively created for themselves, save for an award given here and there to minorities in order to increase the ratings.

That said, "The White Awards" go on 24 hours a day...7 days a week in this country, non stop!!! I love rock music. My favorite bands are all English bands from the 60s and 80s, but let's all admit it...most of the rock bands out today suck!!! And yet they constantly get booked on Jay Leno, Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Carson Daly, Jimmie Kimmel, The Country Music Awards, The Grammies, The American Music Awards, The People's Choice Awards, and these horrible acts are all over MTV. If you don't believe me, watch those shows over the next week and see for yourselves how bad the so-called talent is on these programs. Hell, there was much more real integration going on 60s television than today!!!

Where is our Beatles of today??? Our Rollingstones??? Our The Police??? Our Depeche Mode??? Our Elvis??? Our B52's??? Our Talking Heads??? Our Devo??? Our Blondie??? Our U2??? Our Def Leppard??? Our Queen??? Our The Clash??? I could go on, but you know what I mean!!! What the hell is happening here???!!! We don't even have acts that can equal Culture Club and Duran Duran!!!

Now, yes...there are a lot of horrible rap acts out there too, but even the worst of the lot tend to be better than most of the white acts these days.

Back in the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s most of the better white and black acts dominated the air waves and they were truly great...but now, it's like the record companies have gotten lazy and will sign any act...especially the rock bands, even if they suck.

It is increasingly becoming about who you know and what your skin color is, rather than...being about who is the best talent!!!

156. hey everyone i feel where you all are coming from ,different strokes for different folks i agree with the commen about rap, r&b and hip hop isn't how it used to be in the 80's and 90's it's all about who looks good on the screen, who got more cheddda, and who was the hardest on the street. all it takes today is one hit song and you are considered the music artist for like a month . man bottom line is music suck and it have no meaning to it anymore and as far as im concerned why are we arguing over these people lives and we nort even getting paid for our wo scence. we r the ones that keeep them known out there in the world and guess what we make them millions we use our last penny's just to buy heir garbage cd's but when us the loyal and faithful fan's are caught in a natural disaster where are they at to chip in and with all hose millions and help us out. well i guess that saying is correct everybody can't be rich . please let me know if you agre with me. one love everybody

159. U Guys are high, cuz Kanye West is the truth! I'm fitna speak my mind! He deserves every award he has won and most of the awards he hasn't. How do u whiny "oh he's a reverse rascist" fools not recognize that because he doesn't enforce a stereotype, and is proud of it, white people don't wanna give him awards. I read the first couple of comments and the last couple and how stupid can u guys be?! His comments on Katrina were inappropriate? They were necessary and needed, dammit. In fact what he said was like saying the sky was blue. I cant believe u guys. Kanye West isn’t arrogant he just recognizes that he himself makes good music and when he tries to speak his mind he’s suddenly a reverse rascist. For example you don’t see us black people saying “oh kanye your wrong George Bush loves us.” He hates us and we hate him, anyone who tells u different is A) white(or another race) and naïve and B) is Black and panders to white people. 160. I think Everybody needs to hop off of Kanyes N**s. First off to call that man a racist is one of the most rediculous things I've ever heard. Apart from the fact that his production team is perdominatly white. Or the fact that his comments about george bush hating black people can be a little extreme, but hows the city of New Orleans doing two years down the road( not too great yet). And If that was New York, Atlanta, or another big city? Do you think there would have been more govermental support? But NO doesn't have all that big business owned by who? Well you can figure where he's coming from. But thats not even the point, wether Kanye's right or wrong. If hes arrogant, its prob. cause this morning I pick up the detroit metro paper, and looked at the american top of the charts, and he had at least two songs in the top twenty in four categories. FOUR! And a total of five different tracks. there is no one out even close to doing that. If that was me, and I sold the most records, topped the charts, was a household name, people who couldnt speak english knew who I was, and I was the most saught after producer in the biz, I'D BE PISSED AT NOT WINNING AT LEAST TWO OR THREE AWARDS! And he didnt even get one. If your in class, the teacher is black, and you are the only white kid in class, and you get ninety-nine out of a hundered on a test, but the A+ goes to the black kid who only scored eighty-five, what would be the first reason for the injustice that would pop into your head, without knowing anything else about the situation. Exactaly, get off Kanye's Nu*s!
