Renee Lights Up New York

What's that smell? It got a little nippy in NY this morning, so Oscar-winner Renee Zellweger did what any frozen Manhattanite would do -- she lit a fire. It's not Chicago!

Zellweger was in her rental apartment and lit a small fire in the fireplace. A concerned neighbor smelled smoke, and possibly thinking Renee may not have been home, called the building's doorman. The doorman called FDNY who sprung into action. They ran up the stairs, knocked on the door and found ... Renee Z. toasting her tootsies in front of her fireplace!

8. I'm a fan of Renee's..she is a wonderfully talented actress, and doesn't compromise her integrity when it comes to the roles she plays, etc. Who knows what happened with Kenny C? They are still very good friends, and you can't say that about a lot of celebrity couples who split. It's obvious they still have a lot of respect for each other.

TMZ always finds the worst pictures, and intentionally throw this yellow-orange cast over a lot of them. (Except, of course, when it comes to a Paris Hilton photo.)
