Rosie Clams Up on Britney

The passionate, fiery, outspoken, relentlessly frank Rosie O'Donnell suddenly went quiet yesterday on one of her favorite topics, Britney Spears.


TMZ caught up with Ro as she came out of Comix, where she took in Roseanne Barr's show -- and even jumped in mid-act to do her own bit. But when we asked her about the popwreck on everyone's tongues, Rosie used that ever-trusty answer-avoidance technique -- the quick, loud, preemptive farewell.

Another Ro -- Roseanne -- had a bit more to say about Britney. "I'm gonna call her," said Barr. "She needs a mother." That thought should put a nice shiver through your bones.

8. Rosie Is very smart She knows what the media is doing. They just want Rosie to say anything so they can make her look crazy. I don't understand why people are saying Rosie is a trainwreck She was on a show called the View and gave her Views and people can't handle that and make her out to be crazy. The media is at a sad place right now. They are just as bad as Brittney.

15. What a hag, and she's weearing a "Free the Jena Six" shirt, er tent. I guess that is supposed to show she is current or something? Forget the fact they beat up a kid, we should free them because they are black? Or because Rosie says so? The world doesn't need another fat lesbian to the recue.
