PETA to Olsens: Pelt You!

PETA has come out swinging against Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen for ignoring their pleas to stop wearing and promoting fur. We'd pre-fur you don't!

A new campaign launched this week features the "Trollsen Twins" (Hairy Kate and Trashley) learning about the evils of harming animals in a graphic video parody of "Full House".

The organization also plans to unveil a poster of the Starbucks-swilling celebutwins with the tagline: "Fur Is Worn By Beautiful Animals and Ugly People" next to their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this afternoon.

Where's Danny Tanner when they need him?

63. peta is a mind corrupting business that especially utilizes womens sense of entrapment to score millions and millions of dollars. women falter under seeing images that resonate with feelings hidden in their psyche, and peta abuses that laughing all the way to the bank. they are a group of sick abusive mind freaks who are sitting at a fancy cafe somewhere cold, wearing a fox coat sipping on a cappucion! eff them! know who you give yer $$ to!

64. Hey Everybody, Kim says she has no problem if we're Alaskan and wear fur. YIPPPEEEE!

Would you please provide the rest of us with the "secret" exemption list that PETA has
you know where Alaska is ok, New York, not............

By the way, the Olsens are of Swedish descent. Pretty cold up there in Sweden....

Oh yeah, KIM, they have fake fur in Alaska too. They even have radio and television.

65. @Lily

Actually you are wrong, because I watched the video and was totally in shock about the things they did to those animals. But does this mean that all the animals that are used for fur are treated this way? Maybe some of them are getting fur from a "more humane methods" as you stated. So we really don't know where their furs came from. But my point was the PETA people are too FANATICAL and no one really listens to someone that they think is nuts. So maybe they should go with the sympathetic role not the crazy approach. And maybe they should be lobbying to Congress to push some type of legislation to force companies to practice these more "humane" methods or be fined, or maybe boycotting the companies who practice such slaughtering. But using someone's image to defame and market items (can you say lawsuit b/c you know they don't have permission to use their images) is just wrong. It’s like their trying to FORCE someone to do something and that just causes resistance. How would you like for someone to create an entire website about you calling you ridiculous names and using your image because they were vegans and your not....then maybe you would see my point!

66. #62 Perhaps you should concern yourself with the many thousands of HUMAN BEINGS who dont have enough food or clean water. After we take care of the people then we can concern ourselves with the extremist agenda of PETA and their ilk

68. Thank God for PETA, otherwise there would be a lot more abuse going on. The people that treat these animals this way are mental patients. They are worthless individuals. It's o.k. to eat meat, wear fur, just do it humanely. There is no need to skin these animals while they are still alive, stand on their heads until their skulls crush, slam them to the ground. These people are scary individuals with some serious problems. They need to be checked into a mental institute.

69. They have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?? Now THAT'S scary.

70. I don't think fur is necessary . Hollywood should be better role models. Peta may go overboard-but they get their message out. Maybe people who believe in the rights of animals are getting tired of going to the back of the bus.

71. When you get a piece of junk mail from PETA in the mail, rip it all up, stuff it into the postage-paid envelope they provide and mail it back to them with a little note saying "Throw this crap into your own landfills!"

73. Angry, angry people. What I don't get is how anyone can be so AGAINST a non-profit group trying to help other living things NOT suffer. The only thing that I can think is that you people feel guilty, and it comes out as anger. PETA isn't trying to shove their views down anyone's throats. They are trying to educate and help people understand the suffering that goes on for fashion and for vanity. It's selfish and self-centered to know that you will never face that type of torture and grisly death and be all high and mighty and not care if other living creatures do. HOWEVER - not all of us are that selfish or self-centered, and we actually give a crap and feel guilty for the atrocities that are inflicted on animals by humans. It's one thing to kill an animal because you need to survive, it's another to wear them because you're rich and vain want to be "cool" and "trendy". Get off of PETA's back. If you don't have a soul, that's your problem. I have to believe in karma and hope you suffer that same fate.

Oh, and rip me to shreds all you want, haters... I won't be back on this site to see your comments. I've got better things to do with my time.

74. Many of you PETA haters sound a little uninformed. Unless you have actually SEEN the footage of animals being skinned alive and anally executed (yes, that's right. Think about that.) starved to promote looser skin, etc. - then your opinion is completely uneducated and worthless on the subject. I certainly agree that PETA can be a little extreme at times while trying bring attention to themselves; however, why would any decent human being argue that all living things with the capacity to feel pain, (just like you do!) not be treated as humanely as possible? PETA is promoting the end of this type of senseless and brutal killing of innocent animals. That's not a bad thing - it's a noble thing. We don't need to wear them anymore. It's no longer the Stone Ages. At the end of the day, sure, wear what you want. But be sure you know "what" you're wearing and what "it" endured before you buy it and call it "style". And before you go around callously insulting those who are guilty of nothing except speaking out for those who can't speak for themselves...
