If Neverland Ranch is turned into a memorial site for Michael Jackson, don't expect MJ's once beloved animals to make a triumphant return.
We spoke to Tippi Hedren -- who runs the Shambala Preserve in California where MJ's former tigers (Thriller and Sabu) live -- and she said, "The animals will not be going back ... they're staying with me at the sanctuary."
We also talked to Freddie Hancock -- the owner of the Voices of the Wild Foundation in Arizona which houses MJ's giraffes, birds and reptiles -- and she told us, "These animals have become a part of our lives as they were a part of Michael's ... [the return to Neverland] would depend on a variety of circumstances."

Che Guevara's hot granddaughter is starting a revolution of her very own ... for vegetarians.
Lydia Guevara is the sexy kin of ruthless Argentine terrorist revolutionary Che Guevara, and she's trading in that trendy communist t-shirt you wore in college for a bandolier of carrots for a certain animal rights group campaign.
No word if she's using her lovely weapons of mass destruction to conspire with Fidel Castro and overthrow a government.

We now have someone to blame for Kate Gosselin's newly frosted, chunk-striped, bi-level, Flock of Seagulls-humped-a-porcupine, reverse mullet weave -- Diane's Hair Design in Pennsylvania.
Kate's infamous 'do went in for a little touch up at DHD this week -- either that, or she's been getting the 'do done at Ben's Shoe Repair by accident.

PETA is finally going after President Barack Obama for delivering capital punishment to a housefly on the White House grounds yesterday -- a death that was caught on tape.
When asked for comment, here's the statement PETA released:
"He isn't the Buddha, he's a human being and human beings have a long way to go before they think before they act."
We're told the fly's carcass has been moved to a secret location ... we're guessing the bottom of a White House trash can.

Four 9/11 hero dogs!!!
Trakr, a K9 police and search and rescue dog who was credited with locating the last human survivor of 9/11, was recently cloned as part of BioArts' Golden Clone Giveaway. Trakr's owners are being presented today with four perfect (and not at all creepy) clones of Trakr, who sadly passed away in April.
Curious how it was done? To clone Trakr, Dr. Hwang Woo-suk and his team replaced the genes in canine eggs with genes from Trakr, stimulated the eggs to spur them to develop into embryos, then transferred the embryos to dogs who served as surrogate mothers.
Mother Nature would be proud.

For the second time this year Martha Stewart is burying one of her beloved animals.
Martha just posted the following message on her Twitter page:
"Mozart the cat just died -- he was nineteen and did indeed have a beautiful life. we just buried him next to pawpaw -- he was a lynx himalayan."
Stewart's dog, Ghengis Kahn, died in a freak explosion at a kennel back in March. Her 13-year-old pooch PawPaw passed away in April of '08.
R.I.P. Mozart.

Ted Kennedy and wife Vicki picked out the Obama's Portuguese Water Dog -- they have two of their own -- and as far as they know, the Prez and his family are fully satisfied with the choice.
Before it became property of the First Family, the dog, Bo, already had to be returned to his breeder once. But it doesn't look like history will be repeating itself.
