While trying to convince the world she's a country singer in Grand Rapids, MI last Thursday, Jessica Simpson made a fatal error -- no lip-synching!
Seen in this video from woodradio.com, nearly every song was a disaster while Simpson fought with her earpiece monitor, mumbled through most of her lyrics, and at one point talked through tears. On a brighter note, she didn't look fat!

Tracy Jordan absolutely flipped out on the set of "TGS" -- going insane looney bananas in a Bale-style attack on a studio camera guy for "filming me while I'm trying to f**king act."
Somehow the blow-up happened to be caught on audio tape ... and it's the funniest thing you're going to hear all day.
Obviously, it's a spoof -- and if you don't watch "30 Rock," have somebody who does explain the joke to you.

This poor guy didn't realize his lift pass came with an impromptu upside down peep show.
According to The Smoking Gun, this bizarre chairlift mishap left the Vail skier dangling head over heels for 15 minutes freezing his ass off -- for reals!
Employees of the Blue Sky Basin eventually got the man down before he could fall through the, er, crack.
BTW -- in the guy's defense, it was really cold.

Dare we say it? Kanye West could learn a lot from Ashlee Simpson -- such as if you can't sing, lip-synch. Turns out It's less embarrassing.
West stunk up the stage on "SNL" last night -- so maybe it was supposed to be a joke.

There are two constants in life -- Home Shopping Network hosts can get excited about everything and Janice Dickinson is a bitch.
TMZ sources say that flamboyant Home Shopping Network host Adam Freeman and the entire HSN staff have major haterade for all things Janice after she showed up to hawk her jewelry line acting like, well, Janice.
We're told Dickinson told Adam backstage he needed to lose 20 lbs. and that she was extremely rude to employees who originally were excited for her presence.
The water cooler conversations in HSN's offices this week have revolved around the "We hate her and are very disappointed" standpoint.
No surprise there.

The other Knowles sister (not Beyonce) went all superbitch on a local Las Vegas anchor today -- showing the world she's not only Beyonce's younger sister, but she's also the dumb one.
During a commercial break, the anchors on KVVU asked Beyonce's little sister and her rep if they could mention Jay-Z during the interview. The rep shot them down -- wanting the focus to stay solely on Beyonce's little sister-- and the station agreed.
But dammit if Beyonce's little sister didn't go off on the anchor anyway -- on live TV. Ring the alarm!

Mindy McCready is going back to rehab after trying to do herself in with her favorite swiggable and pharmaceutical -- vodka and Ambien -- and we hear Dr. Phil's inserting himself in the whole she-bang.
TMZ has learned the troubled McCready went off the deep end late last week after getting dumped by her boyfriend and collapsed while on the phone with her mother. She downed a bottle of vods and pills in what we're told was a "suicide attempt."
She's headed to Arizona for treatment, and a source says that was all Phil's idea. We're told he's taken Mindy under his wing as a "personal project." As for whether or not she'll be on the show, time will tell.
We contacted Phil -- so far, no answer. Mindy's peeps had no comment.
UPDATE: A rep for the good Dr. P tells TMZ, "Dr. Phil has not treated patients one-on-one since his show went on air. Ms. McCready's situation is private and we respect her right to privacy in a difficult time."

Glamazon Naomi Campbell celebrated her 38th b-day Wednesday by getting into some ridiculous drama!
So when Naomi -- who had been partying on her boat with convicted felon and known con man Christopher Rocancourt (who has admitted to bilking investors out of millions of dollars) -- showed to party on Diddy's yacht in Cannes, the s**t hit the fan!
Sources say the poster child for anger management got into a mayjah confrontation with Diddy -- and he threw a sobbing Naomi off the boat. Happy birthday to you!

Basque -- the Hollywood club which was featured in movies like "Ocean's 11" and "Confidence" -- is on fire in Hollywood.
The bar/restaurant is located on the corner of Hollywood and Vine, right near the iconic Capitol Records building.
Firefighters arrived on scene at around 5:30 AM.
UPDATE: Firefighters are starting to break down some of their gear, though hoses are still dousing the building with water.
The flames appear to have subsided and the smoke has started to clear up in the area.

A fire burned down beloved Hollywood restaurant "Off Vine" yesterday. Did someone order well done?
The converted old craftsman style house was a low-key Hollywood rarity that served up yummy eats minus the side of douchiness.
Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says no diners or employees at the restaurant were hurt in Sunday evening's blaze, which was most likely caused by faulty wiring. According to a patron's account on LAist.com, while diners and servers got out safely, nobody warned the cooks that a fire had broken out and only later did a valet run back to get them. Talk about not throwing the cook a bone.
